Woodland Fairy Party

Seasons Family Centre hosted an adorable Woodland Fairy Party for a special little girl this past Sunday. The children made Fairy crowns and decorated cupcakes. The crowns were a big hit, we had two different versions, one with flowers and one with leaves, to appeal to everyone! Check out our pictures below for inspiration or maybe you prefer to call have us host your next party! Feel free to visit our Birthday Page for more information on having your next party with us!

A Tea Party!

My little girl turned one last Wednesday and this past Sunday we celebrated her birthday with a little Tea Party. Every detail of the party was a great DIY project. That meant lots of time management on my end to get it done, practice definitely makes perfect with these types of events. The background for the sweet table (minus the fabrics and scrapbook paper) was all made out of dollar store supplies. The burlap banner is a new item I came across recently at the dollar store and have used it for several different craft projects. The dollies come in a pack of 100 and well, you can never have too many of those! The flowers on the bottom bunting another fabulous dollar store find! The boxes that the tiered stands are on and the easel with the canvas board, also purchases from the amazing dollar store.  A great way to add some style to a cake is to add flowers, note though, lots of flowers are not edible and not even safe to put …

DIY Sweet Tables!

For the past few events we’ve hosted here, we’ve supplied sweet tables. Not only are they fun to make but they are always very well received. There are five basic steps you should follow when trying to make your own sweet table. 1) Decide on a theme and colour. Ours are sometimes based on a holiday which makes it easy for theme selection. There are so many free printable available on the web that you can match your colour/theme to them. For example for the circus theme I found this adorable circus template. The little signs really take your sweet table to the next level. 2) Decide on the type of candy you want. There are so many different types of candy out there, it can be overwhelming just to decide on what kind to get. The candy can be separated into four kinds. Bulk loose candy: sold by the pound Individually packaged candy: offer one per guest Designer candy/sweets: offer one per guest Display candy: used for decoration & filler 3) Divide your candy …

Enchanted Forest & Mexican Fiesta!

This past weekend we hosted two drastically different birthdays, an enchanted forest and a Mexican Fiesta! We had such fun planning and preparing, we made all the decorations ourselves and thought it would be great to share in case you are feeling so inclined to host your very own Fiesta Forest! The Enchanted Forest We found this great tree at DeSerres and it only took about 5 minutes to assemble. We hung the tree on the “birthday wall” and decorated around it using tissue paper butterflies and our birthday banner. To make the tissue paper flowers we found some great instructions on Pink Paper Peppermints. We then used kraft paper to make another tree, we decorated the tree with butterflies and mushrooms. The butterflies were made out of tissue paper and the mushrooms out of Bristol board. For the craft we made Modeling chocolate the night before. When the kiddies arrived it was all ready to go and they made beautiful creatures. We also used water colour pencil crayons on canvas boards to paint backdrop …
