At Seasons, we love to engage our toddlers in summer crafts! Summer is a great time to do messy crafts as you can do them outside and use a bucket of soapy water to wash hands. Avoid having handprints all over your house annnnd keep everyone happy. Below are two simple crafts we did with our Tiny Tots. All you need is some paint and some googly eyes. For the dots, we used our tiny fingertips. This balloon elephant was another great craft and even better than the first one because it didn’t involve any mess. For this one, we just used a glue-stick to affix everything to the page. We also used this opportunity to discuss colours and focus on shapes.
So this one I really have to thank Panyl for. I simply painted the top and sides of the Malm Dresser and then used Panyl’s “limited Oak woodgrain” panels to finish off the piece. Personally I think it’s my best Ikea Hack yet (given that I’ve only done 4 up to this point I think I can claim that statement). Have any questions about how I made this feel free to ask away, I’d be more than happy to share my “Ikea Hacking” secrets with you!
So, we’re back for another round! Take a close look! What could this be and how many different uses/crafts can you come up with? This time we’re offering a prize to the most creative, so be sure to comment! Can’t wait to see your answers!
